<p>You can compare the numeric values of the data captured by your custom fields. The comparison can be between two custom fields or between a custom field and an arbitrary value.</p>

<p>For example, you can generate reports where quantities of inventories are below their re-order point or even a specific amount.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1024" height="62" src="https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/image-1024x62.png" alt="" class="wp-image-3134" srcset="https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/image-1024x62.png 1024w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/image-300x18.png 300w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/image-768x46.png 768w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/image-1536x93.png 1536w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/image-1568x95.png 1568w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/image.png 1590w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The condition for comparing the two values can be changed to suit the situation you need the reports for.</p>

<p>The reports will be generated in CSV files that you can either download, or export to Google Sheets or Excel for constant live updates, or use with Power BI or Looker Studio for interactive visualization.</p>

<p>The basic reports will include the barcode or NFC tag values, the name of the assets or inventories, and the calculation results. You can, however, select other custom fields to be included in the reports too.</p>

<p>The calculation results can also be saved in other custom fields you specify.</p>

<p>From the tables where the calculation reports feature is available, go to <strong>Options</strong> > <strong>Comparison Calculations</strong>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="282" height="407" src="https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/image-1.png" alt="" class="wp-image-3135" srcset="https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/image-1.png 282w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/image-1-208x300.png 208w" sizes="(max-width: 282px) 100vw, 282px" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Generating Visualization Reports</h2>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">With Power BI</h3>

<p>On the reports page, choose the&nbsp;<strong>Power BI or Looker Studio</strong>&nbsp;option.</p>

<p>In your Power BI application, go to&nbsp;<strong>Get Data</strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Web</strong>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="544" src="https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-data-source-1024x544.png" alt="" class="wp-image-2729" srcset="https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-data-source-1024x544.png 1024w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-data-source-300x159.png 300w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-data-source-768x408.png 768w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-data-source.png 1122w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Next, paste the copied URL in the dialog prompt then click on the&nbsp;<strong>OK</strong>&nbsp;button.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="600" src="https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-web-url-1024x600.png" alt="" class="wp-image-2730" srcset="https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-web-url-1024x600.png 1024w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-web-url-300x176.png 300w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-web-url-768x450.png 768w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-web-url.png 1147w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Once Power BI has imported your data, you can generate the visualization reports you want.</p>

<p>To refresh the imported data, in Power BI, in the&nbsp;<strong>Power Query Editor</strong>, click on the&nbsp;<strong>Refresh Preview</strong>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="180" src="https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-data-refresh-1024x180.png" alt="" class="wp-image-2732" srcset="https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-data-refresh-1024x180.png 1024w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-data-refresh-300x53.png 300w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-data-refresh-768x135.png 768w, https://kb.ventipix.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/power-bi-data-refresh.png 1366w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Note – if you see columns with the text “*hidden*” then&nbsp;<a href="https://kb.ventipix.com/knowledge-base/data-capture-permissions/">permission to view</a>&nbsp;the data is required by the user setting up the reports.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">With Looker Studio</h3>

<p>On the reports page, choose the&nbsp;<strong>Power BI or Looker Studio</strong>&nbsp;option.</p>

<p>Open a new Google Sheets spreadsheet, then give it a name.</p>

<p>After that, select cell&nbsp;<strong>A1</strong>&nbsp;go to the&nbsp;<strong><em>fx&nbsp;</em></strong>section, paste the URL string that you copied then press ENTER on your keyboard.</p>

<p>Once that’s done, log in to your&nbsp;<a href="https://lookerstudio.google.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Looker Studio</a>&nbsp;account.</p>

<p>Click on the&nbsp;<strong>Blank Report</strong>&nbsp;template.</p>
