Tracking Bespoke Made-to-order Products

Benefits

Ventipix Asset & Inventory Manager platform can enable businesses that make bespoke products to track many aspects of product development from beginning to completion.

As all the services on the platform make use of custom fields, so you can modify them in a manner that captures data that’s relevant to your needs.

Suggested services to use

When building a durable product, e.g a server.

When building a durable product, you can use the Work In Progress (WIP) service to record the order details and, if necessary, phases required to build the product.

You can then use the inventory service to record purchased components that make up the product, then use the inventory reduction service to deduct what has been used to make the product. Inventory reduction can even be simplified when using inventory bundles as it supports stock-level deductions of various inventory items in varying quantities.

Once the product is ready, you can use the asset tagging service to record it as an asset. When it’s finally shipped to the customer, use the asset checkout, to capture where it was sent.

If returned, use the asset check-in feature to record it as such.

When building a perishable product, e.g a flower bouquet.

Once the product is ready, you can use the goods dispatched service to trace its shipment to the customer.

If returned, the same goods dispatched service can be used to update the status accordingly, and reverse the inventory adjustment that was made.
